Bloomsbury Capital is the first and only student-run investment fund at UCL. Founded in 2012, the Fund has since become an integral component of the UCLU Economics & Finance Society. Focusing on investments in equities, Bloomsbury Capital adopts a fundamental, value-oriented approach. Bloomsbury has delivered a total return of 17.68% since its inception on the 25/03/2013 till 19/9/2013, outperforming the iShares S&P 500 Total Return ETF which returned 12.09% in the same time period â€“ by 5.59%. This makes it one of the most successful student investment clubs across the UK by portfolio yield. Bloomsbury Capital serves as a platform for UCL students interested in a career in asset management, private equity or investment banking to connect with each other, the investment community, and alumni. In the weekly meetings, members will come together to exchange market views, pitch investment ideas, and make portfolio decisions.
