Mobile Developers of Berkeley (MDB) is a pre-incubator for mobile apps powered by a thriving community of developers. As UC Berkeley's first and foremost mobile-focused student organization, it brings together Cal's best engineers to build the next generation of software products. Over the past 2 years, MDB has launched over 27 mobile apps in industries such as education, health, social media, shared economy, music, and location based services. It has also built the core technology behind several businesses through its contract program, and brought the Berkeley community closer to the mobile industry through its open workshops and public events. MDB offers its members the proper infrastructure, resources, and guidance they need to develop cutting-edge products. This includes mentorship, funding, and a tightly knit community that's always there to support its members. Each semester, MDB's new recruits go through a mobile development training program that is one of the most comprehensive technical learning experiences at Cal. With our kickstart grant and industry experts, our members are well equipped to achieve their vision for their ideas.
