When you walk into Vapiano, you're given a chip card and menu, and you use the chip card to order food direct from our chefs in an open kitchen. (unless you use the app, in which case you scan the code) Our chefs then cook homemade pasta made that very morning (11 types including spelt pasta) right in front of you, exactly how you like it. Extra chilli? Sure. No garlic? No problem There's also Pizza, salads available and all sauces, dressings and dolci are homemade every single day in each of our restaurants - nothing is pre-made. Once your meal is cooked, you take a seat in a spacious, well designed restaurant and enjoy your meal. You simply pay on the way out. The restaurants are busy! Guests l have been known to wait up to 40 minutes to get a bowl of fresh pasta and we're used to high volumes, serving on average 40,000 guests a week between six restaurants Our team work hard, and look out for each other. The roles vary from KP to pasta chef to Vapianisti (who looks after the restaurant clearing tables) bar, pizza chef, and of course management We work on a certification basis so when you join for a certain role, you'll take certification for that role. So a pasta chef will train and pass certification, then possibly want to train on bar, pizza or management, then they simply move up developing a career We're a well run business with lots of career opportunities. Some of our senior management team started as pasta chefs and have worked their way up It's faced paced, demanding and very rewarding - and we think the best staff thrive on this challenge
