Christchurch and East Dorset councils have a history of working in partnership. In 2010 the councils decided to create a more formal partnership with a shared officer structure with a view to achieving efficiency savings and building a strong, adaptable and flexible workforce. Each council maintains sovereignty and independence of decision making. Great progress has already been made in bringing together shared services, with much work still to come to develop the Partnership further. The Partnership reputation is a growing one which has been recognised at a national level. Christchurch and East Dorset Councils – delivering services together.
