The St Helens and Knowsley Health Informatics Service (HIS) is a unique shared service built on the quality of our in-house staff, industry standard ICT infrastructure, secure information systems and an overarching culture of delivery. Our service delivery has evolved and we have the capability, knowledge and experience to deliver into every type of NHS organisation across the North West - from Commissioners to Provider services, from Primary to Secondary to Community and Mental Health care. Delivering IT systems and services to over 14,000 users across our unique COIN infrastructure, we have steadily matured into a delivery focused service with a single governance structure that provides; robust infrastructures, effective IT solutions and a quality information services across the region, to support the highest levels of patient care. Our in-house service desk is manned by engineers and is your customer contact point for all informatics technical support. In addition to our service desk we have technical development and network teams. It is these support teams who work collaboratively to resolve all complex problems and faults which cannot be resolved by the service desk.
