Our core target users in the Creative Industries are (or aspire to be) in the business of producing creative deliverables. This includes users engaged in advertising & marketing, architecture, design, film, music, performing & visual arts, publishing, R&D, software, and games. The Problem Today, creative workflows demand above average time away from the desk. Solutions must simultaneously power mission-critical, professional creative, as well as, standard office software. This necessitates full-featured, pro desktop apps and workstation-level performance, deployed across a mobile environment. However, Apple splits its mobile offerings into macOS-based notebooks vs. iOS-based iPhone/iPad tablets. Clearly separated through their distinct interface paradigms (mouse/trackpad on macOS and touch on iOS), Apple has carefully crafted their feature sets and positioning so as to complement and integrate with each other, and not overlap. Tablet form factor with pen-input are designed into the iOS devices, whereas laptop usability, workstation-class performance and expandability are reserved for Mac notebooks. Apple's suggested solution is to purchase devices from each platform and use them in tandem. These offerings lack either the performance desired, the level of integration required, or both. The Solution Our mid-level Modbook Pro is an enclosure conversion kit that transforms an original Apple non-Retina 13.3-inch MacBook Pro notebook into a slate-style, pen-enabled macOS tablet computer. With it's dual-core Intel i5/i7 processor options it represents the only slate-style tablet Mac solution on the market. Our upcoming Modbook Pro X is an enclosure conversion kit that transforms a top-of-the-line Apple Retina 15.4-inch MacBook Pro into a 2-in-1 convertible, pen-enabled macOS tablet/laptop. This combination of power and versatility makes the Pro X not only our high-end offering, but in effect also the "best" configuration of an Apple Retina MacBook Pro.
