Welcome to Reaction Engines. We are a UK-based company formed in 1989 to design and develop next generation aerospace engines. The result of two decades of research is SABREâ„¢. SABRE is a new class of combined cycle propulsion system. It effectively doubles the speed achievable with efficient airbreathing aerospace engines to over Mach 5 - more than 1 mile per second. SABRE engines can also can be configured to transition to a rocket mode for space access. The SABRE class enables a new generation of air and space vehicles - efficient, long range hypersonic air flight and low cost, reliable and responsive space launch. To enable SABRE class engines, we have developed the world's highest performance ultra-lightweight heat exchangers. Our microtube and microchannel heat exchangers have potential across a wide spectrum of industries, including aerospace, defence, electronics and energy. As world leaders in metal joining, we are able to solve the most difficult vacuum brazing and electroforming challenges.
