Civitas Maxima ensures the coordination of a network of international lawyers and investigators who work for the interests of women, children and men who have been victims of international crimes, particularly war crimes and crimes against humanity. The lawyers and investigators target only situations where no legal action has been successful in bringing perpetrators to justice, be that in the country where the crimes were committed, before the International Criminal Court (ICC) or in courts of other states. The lawyers and investigators engaged in the cases for Civitas Maxima document crimes and make every effort to encourage authorities in any national or international court with jurisdiction to initiate criminal investigations and trial processes. If considered necessary, civil claims will also be filed against the alleged perpetrators.
