CARS oversees technical assistance (TA) centers for state and national mental health and substance use disorder prevention initiatives. These campaigns have primarily targeted children, youth, and young adults. We believe passionately that by making innovative and evidence-based practices accessible to the prevention workforce, our work fosters healthier families and communities. Our main service is providing comprehensive, relevant, responsive TTA to prevention, education, and community-based organizations and government agencies. Our TTA events are interactive and engaging learning communities that facilitate information sharing around lessons learned and effective practices. We also specialize in translating prevention research into visually appealing, practical resources and tools for diverse audiences. We have aided hundreds of organizations in expanding their outreach, planning strategic campaigns, implementing innovative practices, ensuring future sustainability, and improving results.
