NORTH YORK SENIORS CENTRE provides programs and services to promote the physical, emotional and social well-being of adults aged 55+ living in our diverse community. ACTIVE LIVING CENTRE: A place for fitness, creativity and community The ALC offers a variety of activities, programs and services to help members get active, live well and stay socially connected. A DAY AWAY CLUB: For the mind, body and spirit The club provides older adults living with physical frailites or cognitive challenges, an opportunity to socialize, be active and have fun in a safe and supportive environment. Activities build on clients' abilities and are led by a team of qualified professionals. SENIOR CARE: Making life easier at home and in the community The team helps older adults access programs to facilitate independent living in the community. Services include: Information and referrals; Caregiver support groups; and Telephone reassurance calls. The goal is to provide peace of mind to our clients and their caregivers. The friendly and professional team of personal support workers (PSW) help clients live safely and independently by providing assistance with daily living activities in home or hospital. The fleet of comfortable vans and friendly drivers provide safe transportation to medical and other appointments, shopping and social programming within our service area. Transportation to hospital can also be arranged.
