The London Metal Exchange is the world centre for industrial metals trading. The majority of global non-ferrous futures business is conducted on the LME totalling US$12.7 trillion, 3.5 billion tonnes and over 157 million lots in 2017. Participants can transfer or take on price risk against aluminium, copper, nickel, tin, zinc, lead, molybdenum, cobalt, two steel, four regional aluminium premium, two regional aluminium alloy contracts plus gold and silver. There are over 550 LME-approved warehouses in 34 locations across the USA, Europe and Asia. The LME is a member of HKEX Group. www.lme.com
