About the Mendoza College of Business: The Mendoza College of Business as the University of Notre Dame was founded in 1921 by the Rev. John Cardinal O'Hara, who charged the College with a mission that endures today: for business to be a force for good in society. Mendoza challenges its students, faculty, staff and alums to Ask More of Business, with a focus on individual integrity, effective organizations and a concern for the greater good. The Mendoza College of Business has been ranked as the No. 1 Undergraduate Business Program by Bloomberg Businessweek for four consecutive years (2010, 2011, 2012, 2013). The College currently enrolls 1,950+ undergraduate students in five majors: accountancy, finance, marketing, management consulting and IT management. After completing the University's innovative First Year of Studies program, Notre Dame business majors enter the Mendoza College in their sophomore year.
