The Center for Economic Research and Graduate Education - Economics Institute / CERGE-EI is a joint educational and research institution established by Charles University in Prague and the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic. Research Papers in Economics (RePEc) has ranked CERGE-EI in the top 5 percent of economic departments/research institutions worldwide. CERGE-EI offers U.S. style PhD in Economics and Masters in Applied Economics degrees taught entirely in English. The PhD in Economics is a rigorous program designed for outstanding students interested in pursuing an academic career or entering a high-level position in an international organization, central bank, government ministry or in the private sector.
