Lakeview Academy is an independent, non-profit, college preparatory day school founded in 1970. The school is governed by a Board of Trustees and directed by the Head of School. Located on an 88-acre campus in Gainesville, Georgia, Lakeview's enrollment is approaching 600 co-ed students in grades K3 through 12. Lakeview serves families from 33 countries; students live in 12 counties within a 50-mile radius of the school. Lakeview offers a college preparatory curriculum with small classes that include Honors and Advanced Placement, as well as a Special Studies program for students with special learning needs and styles. Since 1999, the school has integrated technology in every discipline. Students in grades six through 12 have their own laptops on a fully wireless campus. Virtually all Lakeview graduates attend four-year colleges or universities.
