Bradco traces its roots back to a small makeshift warehouse in Central New Jersey and a roofing distribution business that operated much differently than it does today. When Bradco opened its doors for business in 1966, manufacturers sold most of their materials directly to customers, using common carriers to deliver each order. Distributors basically existed to provide "fill-in" deliveries and customer pick-ups. Overall, it was a cumbersome and error-prone method of doing business. After listening to customers complain about the service they were getting from manufacturers, Bradco decided to take matters into its own hands. The result effectively revolutionized the industry's supply cycle. Bradco's idea was simple. It would purchase its own fleet of tractors and trailers to pick up materials from manufacturers and deliver them directly to customer job sites. This innovation assured every Bradco customer a delivery that was both accurate and on time. As the company's reputation for quality service spread, the business grew rapidly. Today, Bradco has annual sales in excess of $1.7 Billion and serves both the commercial and residential building sectors from more than 130 locations throughout 29 states. Completes Acquisition of Bradco Supply Corp. BELOIT, Wis. – ABC Supply Co. Inc. has finalized its purchase of Bradco Supply Corp. The acquisition of Avenel, N.J.-based Bradco is the largest in ABC Supply's history and adds 129 locations in 30 states to the ABC Supply roster.
