San Francisco City Football Club is a non-profit, supporter-owned club competing in the PDL. In January 2015, SF City FC became the first team from San Francisco to qualify for the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup since the California Victory in 2007. SF City won the NorCal Premier League in 2014, thus becoming the sole representative from U.S. Club Soccer for the 2015 tournament. In April 2015, SF City FC fell 2-1 to Cal FC in the play-in round of the 2015 U.S. Open Cup. In January 2016, SF City FC qualified for the first round of the 2016 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup after navigating their way through a difficult qualification process past local rivals El Farolito and Davis Legacy. With hundreds of members and multiple teams at the adult and youth levels, SF City maintains a democratically elected board and offers members a legitimate stake in the operations of the Club.
