Good Shepherd Medical Center is a not-for-profit community hospital which has been dedicated to creating a healthier future for the residents of Longview and the East Texas area for more than 75 years. Good Shepherd is proud to serve as Longview's preferred full service, acute care 425-bed regional referral center. To ensure the continued well-being of our community, the Medical Center strives to provide quality, compassionate and comprehensive care. The Medical Center is woven into the fabric of the community and serves a vital role both by providing healthcare services to those who seek it and also by serving as one of the area's largest employers, contributing to a vibrant economy. We provide health services to all those who present themselves to us, whatever their need, including aiding the medically under-served in our community. Good Shepherd Medical Center continues to be a leader in protecting the health of East Texas residents while also providing services at competitive costs. Inherent within our organization's mission is a responsibility to maintain the organization's financial solvency. With sensitivity to education and the development of our medical staff, employees, volunteers and friends, we also strive to create a harmonious environment reflective of our caring and healing purpose.
