Our members provide practical, real-world legal advice and first class advocacy in virtually every aspect of civil law. We are a contemporary set of barristers' chambers, operating through a number of discrete but complementary practice groups. We have a straightforward approach to our work; we communicate in a jargon-free way and always emphasise the need to understand exactly what you are trying to achieve through working with us, whether on an individual or business related matter. Our history goes back to 1946 and we have always been based in the Temple, in the very heart of London's legal district, but we are especially proud of the fact that we work for clients from all parts of the UK and internationally. On any given day, our members will be working for clients in courts and tribunals across England and Wales and in countries across the world. We have more than 50 barristers, each a specialist in their chosen field of work, many of whom are also active members of the judiciary. Members frequently sit as judges or act as chair of employment tribunals, land valuation tribunals and similar. Many of our past members have gone on to have outstanding judicial careers; we count a former Lord Justice of Appeal, England & Wales among our alumni as well as a Chief Justice of the Turks and Caicos Islands and the Falkland Islands. We have a strong commitment to Pro Bono work and work hard to promote diversity and equality of opportunity at the Bar.
