The boundaries of our neighbourhood association are McBride Boulevard to 6th Street and 10th Avenue to 6th Avenue. We are very centrally located between two shopping areas: Royal Square Mall, at 8th Ave and McBride Blvd and Royal City Centre at 6th Ave and 6th Street both within easy walking distance. The Library, Century House (Seniors Centre) Moody Park Ice Rink, Massey Theatre, Canada Games Pool, Centennial Centre (fitness) Queens Park, Moody Park are all within walking distance. We have two schools within our boundaries: Herbert Spencer Community School for kindergarten to grade 5 and Ecole Glenbrooke Middle School for grades 6 - 8. The New Westminster Secondary School, grade 8 - 12 is located between 8th Ave & 10th Avenue at 8th St and is also within easy walking distance. Royal Columbian Hospital is a 10 minute car ride or a 30 minute walk away. The Glenbrooke Firehall is located at 6th Ave and McBride Blvd. We are surrounded by Transit running through and along our boundaries. The #154 bus which travels through our neighbourhood down 5th St and along 8th Ave and the #155 goes along 6th Ave both routes link with the Braid and 22nd Street Skytrain Stations. The #106 joins the 8th St Skytrain with Edmonds and Metrotown Skytrain stations. The #101 travels between 22nd Skytrain and Lougheed Skytrain Station. It takes less than a hour to reach downtown Vancouver.
