Since the early beginnings as publishers of the Pharmacy Management journal in 1985 Pharmacy Management, as an organisation, has developed into a provider of education and information to the profession via a number of different communication channels including National Seminars, Regional Meetings and Management Skills Training. Through its PM Academy series and its Clinical Leadership in Pharmacy programme Pharmacy Management has played a major role in equipping pharmacy team members with necessary leadership and management skills. It is proud to have been awarded first wave Accredited Training Provider status by the Faculty of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society. Pharmacy Management is a long standing and highly regarded quarterly publication, which exists to provide Pharmacists, in primary and secondary care, with a sound understanding of management philosophy and examples of good practice that will be of benefit in developing the profession's contribution to improving services to patients. In September 2015 the Journal of Medicines Optimisation was launched which focuses on making best use of medicines to benefit patients.
