A regular programme of first class national and internal theatre shows, music and dance events is enjoyed by many and community classes and courses are held in the Carnegie every week. Monroe's Bar is a flexible live music venue and theatre bar all in one and is regarded as one of Cumbria's best live music venues. The Carnegie Theatre & Arts Centre is run by the Carnegie Theatre Trust (Workington). A not for profit organisation registered in England under charity number 1160963. The trust was established on 1st May 2015 with a vision of providing a diverse and accessible range of high quality arts and leisure activities in a welcoming and inspiring environment; service provision and programme will promote social inclusion, interaction and engagement for all ages, shared experiences and opportunities to learn.
