Ajarae Coleman is an African-American film and television actress who is launching her career with extraordinary success. Over the last several months, she has completed a supporting role in a feature film, the lead role in a short film, a critically acclaimed starring role in a stage play, a series regular role in a SAG new media project, and a principal role on daytime network television. She looks ahead to breakout roles in feature film. Ajarae's work ethic sets her apart. She attended Harvard University, and earned an honors degree in Biological Anthropology. During her time at Harvard, she began to cultivate her passion for the performing arts, studying at the American Repertory Theater, and starring in such plays as Hansberry's A RAISIN IN THE SUN, and Shange's FOR COLORED GIRLS. Ajarae is a charming and quick-witted leading lady, who excels at portraying intelligent, confident, sexy women. As a fitness model and 2009 Chicago marathon finisher, she also seeks physically challenging roles. Ajarae serves the educational community in Los Angeles as a reader for elementary school students through the Screen Actors Guild's BookPALS (Performing Artists for Literacy in Schools) program.
