Lone Wolf Tribe is a New York based puppet theatre ensemble creating challenging multidisciplinary work since 1997. Blending history, sociology, and theology into brutally poetic contemporary narratives, Lone Wolf Tribe creates visceral, psychological, and fantastical productions that explore the edges of theatrical style and human experience. Combining the mediums of puppetry, video, music, and dance, Lone Wolf Tribe aims to push the boundaries of visual storytelling and sculpt a new dimension for live performance. Lone Wolf Tribe productions have been published, toured internationally, won excellence awards from both the NYC and San Francisco Fringe festivals and been supported by The Jim Henson Foundation, The Greenwall Foundation, New York State Council on the Arts, The Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, The Axe Houghton Foundation, The Puffin Foundation, the Brooklyn Arts Council, and Puppeteers of America. Works by LWT have been developed through residencies and productions at PS122, The Brick, the Ontological Hysteric Theatre, HERE Arts Center, Brooklyn Arts Exchange, Abrons Art Center, and the MacDowell Colony. LWT is fiscally sponsored by The Field.
