In 2000, Alan Tafapolsky, along with friend and fellow foodie/baseball fan, Tony Smith, established Tafapolsky & Smith LLP in San Francisco and Los Angeles. In 2017, we expanded to partner with Sharon Mehlman in San Diego, becoming Tafapolsky Smith Mehlman LLP. When TSM was founded nearly two decades ago, it was with the goal of building the culture of a specialty law firm. Our corporate vision was to hire attorneys capable of thinking out of the box, take on a manageable caseload for clients we admire and whose values we share, and deliver the quality of service our clients expect and foreign nationals require.
