Established in 1851, Alpha Delta Pi is committed to sisterhood, values and ethics, high academic standards and social responsibility. Our founders formed The Adelphean Society for "the mental, moral, social, and domestic improvement of its members" at Wesleyan College, the first college in the world chartered to grant degrees to women. The Adelphean Society, later renamed Alpha Delta Pi, is the mother of the modern sorority.
