About GTA The Georgia Technology Authority seeks to ensure that the state's IT infrastructure is stable, secure and well-governed, and provides Georgians with the services they need and expect. More specifically, GTA: * Manages the state's IT infrastructure — data center, network and telecommunications services and security * Establishes policies, standards and guidelines for state IT * Promotes an enterprise approach to state IT * Develops and manages the state portal, georgia.gov GTA's statutory responsibilities also encompass: * Technology enterprise management — methods for managing technology resources for state agencies; resources include data centers, servers, mainframes, PCs and laptops, wide and local area networks, telecommunications and technology personnel * Technology portfolio management — approaches for analyzing and ranking the state's technology investments
