The Brampton Golf Club was founded as a 9-hole course in 1921, and was moved to its present 193 acre site in 1963. Designed by noted golf architect C.E. 'Robbie' Robinson, Brampton Golf Club quickly became known as the home course of a great many low handicappers including Stu Hamilton, Pauline Kelly and Bob Little. Brampton is also the place for the development of junior golfers. With the best practice facility in the GTA, it offers up and coming champions like Brittany Marchand a place to hone their skills. The ability for young juniors and their continued development will keep Brampton at the forefront of provincial, national and international golf. Over the last 20 years the golf course has undergone a multitude of improvements to the course, including the addition of new and renovated holes, the planting or transplanting of over 1,000 trees, a spacious pro shop and a new halfway house.
