We aim to promote comprehensive palliative care to people who have a progressive, advanced illness with a limited life expectancy in order that we can provide the very best quality of life for our patients and their families for whatever time they have left to share together. Douglas Macmillan Hospice is the only adult hospice in North Staffordshire. Every day we care for people living with cancer and other terminal illnesses both in the comfort of their own home or in the warm, homely surroundings at the hospice, respecting individuality and choice. Our Hospice team are all specially trained to offer advice and support, and all work together to try and offer a seamless service, they will do all that they can to ensure their patient's comfort and well-being. The care provided includes, the physical, psychological, social and spiritual needs of the patient and their family. If necessary, this support will continue into bereavement.
