The National Center for Ecological Analysis and Synthesis (NCEAS) is a center for transformational science focused on accelerating discoveries in environmental science and informing solutions that will allow people and nature to thrive. Founded in 1995, we were the first synthesis science center of its kind, and we continue to lead in the practice of analyzing existing data through collaboration and open science. We are part of the University of California, Santa Barbara, but our network of scientists and science practitioners is worldwide.
