Located in South Georgia, Wiregrass Georgia Technical College is a two year public college and part of the Technical College System of Georgia.
The mission of Wiregrass Georgia Tech can be summed up in two words: "workforce development." The mission is accomplished through our instructional programs, through contract and continuing education training, and through adult education. All programs are designed to meet the specific needs of business and industry throughout our 11-county service area. Wiregrass Georgia Technical College proudly offers 198 programs of study including 24 associate degree programs, 40 diploma programs, and 119 technical certificate of credit programs. Georgia QuickStart, contract training, and continuing education courses are offered through the Department of Economic Development. The college also offers adult education courses for individuals wishing to obtain their GED diploma.
The college has four main campuses in Valdosta, Fitzgerald, Douglas, and Sparks; or mulitple many learning centers throughout South Georgia. Our motto is "Building futures, one student at a time." We are proud to carry out our mission in the heart of Georgia's wiregrass region- Atkinson, Ben Hill, Berrien, Brooks, Coffee, Cook, Echols, Irwin, Lanier, Lowndes, and Wilcox counties.
