Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust provides 24-hour emergency and healthcare services to a population of more than five million. We cover almost 6,000 square miles of varied terrain, from isolated moors and dales to urban areas, coastline and inner cities. We employ over 4,500 staff and more than 960 volunteers also make a vital contribution to the service. At Yorkshire Ambulance Service we put patients and their needs at the heart of everything we do so that they receive the right response, as quickly as possible, wherever they live. We are constantly developing new and more effective ways of carrying out our core services which are: - 999 communications - accident and emergency - NHS 111 - patient transport.
