St Helens College caters for students of all ages, studying at all levels. St Helens College is one of the largest further and higher education providers in the region, with a proven track record of having provided quality education since 1896. The College offers a range of qualifications such as City and Guilds, National Diplomas, National Awards, National Certificates and NVQs. You can also undertake professional qualifications including CIPS, CIPD and AAT as well as Foundation and Honours degrees. There are two main campuses â€“ The Town Centre Campus and The Technology Centre Campus. St Helens College has undergone a Â£57m rebuild and modernisation programme at its Town Centre Campus as part of a Government funded "Building Colleges for the Future Programme". The college's Town Centre Campus was demolished to make way for a new state of the art learning complex and the existing SmithKline Beecham buildings was refurbished. To preserve its listed status, the famous Clock Tower building, home of the St Helens Business School, was left as an integral part of the campus, and continues to be one of the town's leading landmarks. The new building proudly provides stimulating well equipped learning environments with exciting state of the art delivery areas. Light and airy study areas combine with safe and secure â€˜user friendly' environments. The landscaped â€˜social gathering' areas give this building a real community feel. Staff and students at St Helens College recently celebrated the fantastic results from their recent Ofsted inspection. The College received a 'Good' rating, achieved despite a newly introduced inspection framework which includes tougher and more stringent inspection criteria.
