The Young Nuclear Safety Professional's Forum (YNSPF) is a sub-group of the Nuclear Industry Safety Directors' Forum (SDF). Our aim is for young people to contribute and improve nuclear safety. We provide an alternative perspective to some of the challenges that the SDF face. The YNSPF also acts as a platform for continuous personal development and networking for all members. The YNSPF is a voluntary organisation, which undertakes a number of tasks to support the SDF. These include delivering good practice guides, researching and reporting on how to retain young professionals within in the industry and topical reports which may have a safety implication. The YNSPF members are from a range of companies across the civil and defence nuclear sectors. These include: the Ministry of Defence, Rolls-Royce, BAE Systems, Babcock, ONR, Dounreay Site Restoration Ltd. and AWE.
