Established in 1985, YLANG 23 is owned by Joanne and Charles Teichman who have built a reputation for their commitment to original designers whose passion and creativity shape the trends in the U.S. and in Europe. Featuring Cathy Waterman, Irene Neuwirth, Jennifer Meyer, Sharon Khazzam, Ten Thousand Things, Sydney Evan, Finn, Kataoka, Megan Thorne, Jade Trau and Jamie Joseph, among others, Joanne & Charles have also discovered many designers early in their careers and supported their development and growth. Central to YLANG 23's success is the vision of its owners, who were the first in the U.S. to offer luxury designer jewelry in the mid-1980's, sell high end designer jewelry on the web in 2000, and create a culture of unmatched customer service, including the early addition in 2004 of free 2 day shipping. In Spring of 2014 Ylang 23 moved from its mall location to a beautiful store at The Plaza at Preston Center, the epicenter of high end shopping in Dallas. The new store which is Parisian Atelier meets Soho Chic, is anchored by 'The Ring Bar' which is a destination for Brides shopping for solitaires and bands. Ylang 23 was named by the Wall Street Journal (Off Duty) as one of the top five websites to buy fine jewelry online. The Teichmans have two children, Alysa and Jake. Their community involvement is deep, with longtime support of Dallas Charities including The Family Place; North Texas Food Bank; Dallas Holocaust Museum; Jewish Family Service; and Vogel Alcove.
