Daemen College, founded in 1947, is a liberal arts college located in Amherst, New York. A private and residential college, Daemen is home to around 2700 students. It has an average class size of 17 students and a student-to-faculty ratio of 13:1. Daemen College comprises undergraduate, graduate, and interdisciplinary degree programs in two divisions: Art & Sciences and Health & Human Services. There are 18 departments in Daemen College, namely: English, Visual & Performing Arts, Natural Sciences, Modern Language, History & Government, Mathematics, Accounting, Athletic Training, Business Administration, Executive Leadership & Change, Physician Assistant, Social Work, and Physical Therapy. A total of over thirty undergraduate programs and six graduate programs are offered by this co-educational college and the Physician Assistant and Physical Therapy programs particularly have a strong reputation.
