The mission of The Arc of Orange County is to create a person-centered environment that advocates for and supports people of all ages with unique abilities and challenges so they can live as respected members of the community. Headquartered in Newburgh, NY, The Arc of Orange County's 650 employees support more than 1,800 children and adults with developmental disabilities in 29 program locations and in private family homes throughout Orange County. The Arc of Orange County provides innovative, individualized programs including: evaluation services, preschool for children ages 3-5, school for children aged 5-21 with severe disabilities, adult day services (vocational training, job placement, life skills enhancement, community volunteering, and recreational activities), adult residential services (19 homes throughout the County each staffed 24/7 providing a family setting and life skills development) and adult support services (clinical services, guardianship, service coordination, and family respite). The Arc of Orange County is accredited by the Council on Quality & Leadership (CQL), an internationally recognized accreditation that demonstrates our commitment to listening to the people we support and basing the delivery of our services on the priorities they set.
