HomeAid Atlanta is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a mission of building new lives for homeless families and individuals through housing and community outreach. Founded in 2001, HomeAid Atlanta is the designated charity of the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association, and is a local chapter of HomeAid America, a leading national provider of transitional housing for the temporarily homeless. HomeAid Atlanta strives to improve the conditions of Atlanta's temporarily homeless families and individuals by focusing on increasing capacities at local transitional housing facilities, providing more homeless children, women and men with an opportunity to restore their lives. Transitional housing provides the temporarily homeless with safe, dignified living environments that blend into neighborhoods and offer life and job skills training programs promoting self-sufficiency.
