The Epic Movement serves to offer every college student a chance to know and follow Jesus by establishing movements of Christ-following, leaders in the Asian American cultural context so that everyone know someone who truly follows Jesus. The Epic Movement was launched as a response to the rapidly changing campus population in the United States. As more and more Asian American students come to campus, they are increasingly immersing themselves in an ethnic student subculture. If we are to reach these students, we cannot rely on traditional means of ministry. The challenge of this generation is to believe God to do something radical, something different, whatever is necessary to give every Asian American student a chance to hear the gospel and respond to Christ. Epic has been formed as a contextualized approach to reach the growing number of Asian-American students. There are Epic ministries across the country.
