SPT builds community through the performing arts. Community is defined two ways: 1) A group of theater goers who appreciate though-provoking, artistic works, and 2) a group of students and parents who are involved in our Youth Drama Program. To support this mission, our core values include choosing professional plays that inspire an exploration of ideas, culture and community. We also provide an engaging educational experience for people of all ages through our Youth Drama Education Program by offering programs at the Bathhouse and in local schools. SPT is also the proud steward of the the Bathhouse at Green Lake. Many neighbors gather and socialize at professional productions or come together with their children in the Youth Drama Program. We evaluate our success in fulfilling our mission by how the word of mouth circulates through the Community, bringing back returning audience members, and encouraging new ticket sales. Our Youth Drama Programs often have wait lists, and the parents often tell how much the program has helped their child build their social skills as they make life-long friends.
