Beaches Habitat was founded in 1992 by a small group of volunteers committed to eliminating substandard and overcrowded housing in the Jacksonville Beaches area. Through partnership with volunteers, the community and future homeowners, we are able to build quality affordable homes for qualified families in need. We also provide training to guide families through home ownership, as well as educational opportunities to allow families to build brighter futures. Beaches Habitat partner families must show the need for housing, be willing to partner with Beaches Habitat for Humanity volunteers and staff to help build their home, and must qualify for and have the ability to repay a 30-year, zero interest rate mortgage.
