Founded in 1940 as the Society for Cripple Children, we now serve children with a broad range of disabilities and special needs including autism, cerebral palsy, spina bifida, and other physical and emotional challenges. Our unique, comprehensive service model weaves together therapy, intensive therapy, education and autism services, recreation, adapted sports and family support services to meet the needs of the entire family. The agency serves children from birth through young adulthood, with a special focus on children from birth through age five. In Fiscal Year 2016-2017, many of the clients served by the Achievement Centers participated in or received multiple programs and services. Over the past year, the agency provided more than 5,700 services to 2,516 individuals and their families.
