The Theatre Royal, the oldest continually-operating theatre in England, was built during 1764–66 on King Street in Bristol. Bristol Old Vic, the theatre company was founded in 1946 and produces world class theatre across a range of genres. The Executive Team of Tom Morris (Artistic Director) and Emma Stenning (Exec Director) joined the theatre in 2009 and the Company has begun touring overseas again - the most recent production being, A Midsummer Nights Dream, its collaboration with Handspring Puppets, which went to the USA in May 2013, and will tour again in 2014.
