The company's prototype product was www.TheMediaBriefing.com - a strategy website publishing deep industry insight about the evolving world of media. In early 2012 Briefing Media dramatically increased our scale with the acquisition of the healthcare and agriculture publishing assets of UBM in a private equity backed deal with Kester Capital. In mid 2015 the company undertook a successful secondary transaction and is currently backed by mid-market private equity firm, Lyceum Capital. [The healthcare division was sold to Cogora Ltd. in November 2013. The media events portfolio was sold to Haymarket in June 2017].
