Basmati is grown in the foothills of the Himalayas and we ensure only the finest Basmati makes it into Tilda bags. Using our over half a century of experience and expertise, we DNA testing every batch of Basmati to guarantee purity, age the Basmati naturally in the sun and in the gentle milling process remove broken grains that release startch that cause rice to be sticky. Nothing is wasted as broken and discoloured grains that have been removed are used for animal feed. Our standards are that only the very highest standards are acceptable - Perfection in every pack!
