Pacific NorthWest LNG was a proposed natural gas liquefaction and export facility on Lelu Island within the District of Port Edward on land administered by the Prince Rupert Port Authority. Natural gas from northeast British Columbia would have been be supplied to Pacific NorthWest LNG by Progress Energy Canada Ltd.; both companies are majority-owned by PETRONAS. Sinopec, JAPEX, Indian Oil Corporation, and PetroleumBRUNEI are minority shareholders in Pacific NorthWest LNG and its associated natural gas supply.
