Welcome to St Michael's Hospice Excellent holistic care and support for all those throughout Hastings and Rother affected by a progressive life-limiting illness or bereavement. We are an independent charity and all our services are given free so we are heavily dependent on the generosity of local individuals, companies, groups and trusts. Since receiving our first patient in 1987, the Hospice has cared for in excess of 15,000 patients. The cost of running the Hospice and providing the full range of services to our patients is close to Â£5million a year. With no more than one third of this being provided by the NHS we need to raise the balance, over Â£3.7million, or nearly Â£10,000 per day, from voluntary sources. This demonstrates the great reliance we have on our local community through fundraising events, our lottery, retail stores, legacies and donations.
