Street Child helps some of the world's poorest and most vulnerable children to go to school. Whether working with children on the streets, those in remote rural communities that simply have no schools or in crisis areas where children's access to education has been destroyed, out-of-school children are Street Child's primary issue. In late-2008, Street Child began its life in post-conflict Sierra Leone with one project for a hundred children. Under a decade later Street Child has made significant contributions to the lives, and in particular the education prospects, of over 100,000 children across two continents. Worldwide there are 70 million children who should be at primary school but aren't. Over 15 million of these live in the countries that Street Child works in.
