Van Hool, established in 1947 by Bernard Van Hool and ever since a non-listed family-owned and -run business, is a Belgian manufacturer of buses, coaches and industrial vehicles. Over 4,300 people are employed on a single site in Lier, where all sales, engineering, production and after-sales take place -- abstraction made of the small assembly site in Bree and the service points in Fosses (France) and Ijsselstein (The Netherlands). Annual production has reached levels of 1,400 buses and 4,000 trailers, yielding an annual sales turnover exceeding EUR 500 million. As such it is the largest Belgian employer in the technological industry in Belgium
