schuh is a shoe shop. That much you probably already knew. You probably didn't know that we were born in Edinburgh in 1981 with a simple philosophy: 'To provide individual high fashion footwear, sold in a unique and exciting retail environment' Since then, that simple philosophy is still holding true, only we now have over 100 stores across the UK and Ireland, a highly successful website as well as a glittering trophy cabinet that tells us that we're pretty good at selling shoes. -- According to Verdict's annual survey, schuh is the UK's favourite shoe shop for â€˜range' and we're a brand partner of choice for some of the world's leading footwear brands: Converse, Vans, adidas to name just a few. At the end of the last financial year, our turnover was Â£230m. In recent years, we've accelerated our number of store openings across the UK and Ireland, with a new store planned for Germany in 2015. We have also opened a brand new format: schuh kids, which offers the same shoes and the same great service but for smaller feet. We're known for being the first to a shoe trend, but we're pretty pioneering in other areas, not least with technology... schuh.co.uk, has been successfully trading since 2002 and receives around 2.1m unique visits and 22m page impressions per month (the largest traffic of any footwear specialist). We consistently appear in the top 20 most visited sites on Hitwise for apparel and accessories. The secret behind this success is closely guarded, but it comes from having nice people, hardwork and dedication.
