We are an independent education charity and the largest provider of academic qualifications taught in schools and colleges. We set and mark the papers for around half of all GCSEs and A-levels taken every year. Our qualifications are internationally recognised and taught in 30 countries around the world. They are highly valued by employers and universities and enable young people to progress to the next stage of their lives. Our qualifications suit a range of abilities and include GCSEs, IGCSEs, A-levels, Tech-levels, the Extended Project Qualification and the AQA Baccalaureate. Our aim is to enable every student and teacher to realise their potential. We support teachers by delivering services that lead to inspiring lessons, great learning and accurate assessment. We also work collaboratively with teachers to create resources that are designed around their day-to-day needs. Our work falls into three main areas: • Qualifications – we are a leading provider of GCSEs and A-levels • Support – including progress tests and results analysis • Development – training and professional development for teachers. Through our Centre for Education Research and Practice, we provide research evidence that helps inform education policy and enable a better future for students. We are always looking for ways to improve our services, using our educational expertise and understanding of the challenges teachers and students face. The AQA family also includes: • Teachit, an online community where teachers share classroom resources • Doublestruck, which enables teachers to create progress tests for their students. • Alfiesoft, which provides interactive on-screen assessments. We are an educational charity and employ over 1,000 people. We have offices in London, Guildford, Manchester, Harrogate and Bath.
